YG can breathe a sigh of relief after getting a DUI charge from last year dismissed.
The 34-year-old rapper (born Keenon Jackson) had his case thrown out by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office, according to TMZ.
The City Attorney reportedly stated that the case was dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
YG, who has had several previous run-ins with the law, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI back in October.
At the time, police said that they had arrested the rapper after finding his bright-red Lamborghini parked up on a curb in Burbank, California.
According to YG’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, the dismissal was primarily due to the fact that the performer wasn’t in his vehicle at the time that police discovered it.

According to TMZ’s original report, the police were never called to the scene.
Instead, they merely stopped after driving by the red Lamborghini that was parked up on the curb, while YG was standing near his vehicle.
Sources at the time said police did not administer a breathalyzer at the scene, but he was taken for a blood test to determine possible intoxication.
Although the results of the blood test haven’t been reported, police subsequently booked the rapper for misdemeanor DUI.
YG has had previous interactions with the police over his driving, as well as concerns about potential intoxication.
In 2019, he was pulled over by police after allegedly ‘speeding and weaving in and out of lanes‘ on Sunset Boulevard, according to TMZ.
Police subsequently detained him and handcuffed him, claiming that he was ‘uncooperative’ and swearing at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.
They also alleged that he had been ‘riling up’ the crowd outside of a nightclub in LA near where he was stopped.
According to Tacopina, the charge was dismissed for insufficient evidence, as YG was not in the car when police spotted it, but instead standing near it; seen in 2023 in NYC

However, a breathalyzer administered at the scene indicated that YG was not intoxicated, and he was subsequently released.
In January 2020, the rapper was arrested at his home in LA for suspicion of robbery and held on $250,000 bail.
His Hollywood Hills home had previously been searched by police in July of 2019 in relation to a high-speed chase in which police shot a man in Compton.
Police alleged that one of his cars was involved in the chase, but YG was never personally implicated in the incident, and he was not home at the time of the raid.
At the time of his 2020 arrest, YG’s attorney Tacopina and fellow rapper The Game both raised questions about the timing of the arrest, which occurred the same weekend that YG was scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards.
