Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si Robertson, 76, lands in ER after hunting accident

‘Uncle Si’ Robertson landed in the emergency room three days after falling on his portable oxygen tank during a duck hunt in Arkansas over the weekend of January 17-19.

Duck Call Room co-host John-David Owen shared a grisly snap of the 76-year-old Duck Family Treasure star in his hospital bed during last Thursday’s episode of the podcast.

Uncle Si (born Silas) was apparently ‘in a big dang hurry to get out of the boat’ and fell on the steep graveled bank, according to Duck Call Room co-host Justin Martin.

But Justin said Robertson ‘bounced right back up’ because he was ’embarrassed’ and didn’t want anyone to ‘see that he fell’ and insisted he was ‘fine’ despite his hunting buddies’ concerns.

Duck Call Room co-host Phillip McMillan – who was not at the lakeside property – later received a call from the caretaker of the Duck Commander reedmaker’s wife of 54 years, Christine, about his oxygen levels dipping.

‘My heart just dropped,’ Phillip recalled of his hospital visit.

‘I said, “What is going on?” And I figured [Uncle Si] would start laughing and talking. But no, he said, “Man, I’m in a lot of pain.” He said, “I fell duck-hunting and I think I broke some ribs”…He said, “Phillip, I’ve got to make some changes.”‘

Doctors thoroughly X-rayed Robertson’s chest considering he had previously undergone lung surgery in 2022, but ‘all the tests came back good’ and he only bruised his ribs.

‘We’re expecting a full recovery,’ McMillan smiled.

‘[Uncle Si] said, “I’ve been too much of a hurry” and he said “I need to slow down.” This is the only time I’ve seen him self-aware in years! He actually said, “You know, I really forget how old I am.”‘

Audiences first got to know the Vietnam War veteran in the A&E reality show Duck Dynasty, which aired for 11 seasons spanning 2012-2017, as well as his very own spin-off Going Si-Ral (2016-2017).

Fans can expect Uncle Si to make an appearance in Willie and Korie Robertson’s spin-off Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which premieres this summer on A&E.

However, the Louisiana-born grandfather-of-eight’s big brother Phil Robertson has officially retired from the spotlight last month following his diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease.
